adipexI know the best thing to do is eat right and exercise but my sister (who to me wasn’t over weight) got her doctor to prescribe her pills. I believe they are called Adipex. They worked great for her to lose what little weight she had but I was wondering if anyone else has taken this and how they worked for them!

Answers:

I have never even heard of them but honestly I would say don’t bother. Most diet pills once you stop taking them from what I have seen you gain all the weight back. Same with Jenny Craigs and neutrasystem. I would say just exercise and drink loads of water. I became a vegetarian and lost 20 pounds in the first 3 months I’ve lost a total of 50 pounds in the 4 years I’ve been one but one I got pregnhant I gained a lot. You don’t have to so much eat healthy just cut out certain things. Try not eating meat for a month. or just eat one meat meal a day. I’d say none lol you cant get mad cow disease or e-colie as easy but its your choice.

I just recently started dieting and working out I joined a boot camp class and I already dropped 4 pounds this week yay! I say just workout and eat the right stuff and you can loose weight it’s hard I know but it is worth it in the long run! If you need any support let me know.

First I would like to say that I would NOT do diet pills–I did and got extremely sick. Its all your personal choice though. Second I think that just diet change and exercise is going to help you a tremendous amount. I am 5’4 and 201 I was 214 in Sept. I have done Weight Watchers before–and it worked great. Then it got expensive, so I decided to continue doing it at home-just following their points system and weighing in every Monday. Like I said though–it is just a personal choice.

I would say, since you had heart surgery, than DON’T take diet pills. A lot of them affect the heart. They’re made to speed up metabolism therefore increasing your heart rate. Not always by much, but enough. And since you had to have surgery on your heart, I wouldn’t touch it with a ten foot pole!
Good ol’ fashioned hard work is what’ll work for ya. Do the basics!

  1. Lots of water
  2. Cut out sugars
  3. Cut out sodas
  4. It’s not always WHAT you eat, but how MUCH you eat of it!
  5. Don’t starve yourself. You’ll get an opposite effect.
  6. Keep to the food pyramid! Eat your veggies and fruits!
  7. Exercise! Don’t hurt yourself, and start slow. But start.
